The 1956 GMC 150 pickup was the ¾-ton chassis of GMC’s acclaimed Blue Chip Series, a truck line introduced in 1955 as GMC’s counterpart to Chevrolet’s Task Force trucks. The 1956 model featured a distinctive grille, a wraparound windshield for improved visibility, and a more comfortable cab than earlier postwar trucks.
