Description

The MG TF 1500, introduced in the United States in 1954 and produced through 1955, marked the final chapter of MG’s traditional T-series roadsters. With its classic pre-war styling, the TF retained the upright grille and flowing fenders of its predecessors but added subtle refinements like faired-in headlights and a sloped radiator shell for a more modern appearance. The 1955-1956 model year was part of a limited run of TF 1500s, making it one of the rarest and most desirable variants of the T-series.

This particular 1955 MG TF 1500 is finished in MG Red and powered by the larger 1500 (1,466cc) inline-four-cylinder engine paired with a four-speed manual gearbox. As a clean, well-maintained driver, it offers a charming blend of vintage British motoring and is ready to be enjoyed on the open road.

    • E – Denotes the engine type: XPEG, the 1,466cc inline-four used in the TF 1500

    • G – MG Car Company

    • 3070 – Sequential production number, indicating this was the 3,070th TF 1500 built

Ownership History

The current owner has maintained this MG TF 1500 as a reliable driver, keeping it clean and road ready. The seller purchased the vehicle in 2021 from the previous caretaker who owned the car since 1979. The seller states, “The previous owner always garage-kept it under a car cover and I believe it’s been in California most if not all of its life.”

This MG is offered with a clean Arizona title in the name of the seller's name.
