Description
The 1955 Chrysler C-300 launched the legendary letter series and gave Chrysler a genuine claim to American performance leadership. Virgil Exner’s styling combined a New Yorker front clip, an Imperial grille, and a Windsor hardtop roofline into a clean, assertive shape. Beneath the hood, the 331ci FirePower Hemi V8 produced 300 horsepower when new, making the C-300 the most powerful production car of its day. Dual four-barrel carburetors, a high-lift camshaft, and solid lifters allowed the engine to breathe freely, while a heavy-duty suspension kept the Chrysler composed at speed. A two-speed PowerFlite automatic, power steering, and power brakes made the C-300 easy to manage.
At Daytona Beach, a C-300 clocked 127 mph over the flying mile, and Carl Kiekhaefer’s team used the model to win the 1955 NASCAR Grand National championship. Chrysler built only 1,725 examples; each finished with a richly appointed leather interior. As Auto Age magazine reported in 1955, "The industry has for too long lacked a sports-type passenger car like this."
This C-300 was reportedly refurbished to its current condition circa 2014. It’s finished in white over a beige leather interior featuring a power-adjustable front bench and a Town and Country AM radio. The car's 331ci FirePower Hemi V8 features two carburetors and is paired with a dashboard-shifted automatic transmission.
This 1955 Chrysler C-300 is now offered with a clean Alaska title in the seller’s name.

Ownership History
From the seller: "This Chrysler was out of Montana. A widow sold the car to a guy in Washington State, he started the refurbishment, and went out of business. He sold the car to a buyer in Alaska who finished the build, interior, and trim. The Chrysler sat in his barn for 10 years. The last owner bought the car and entered in shows for about 7 years, and I bought it for my collection in 2026."

From the seller: "I'm in Alaska and winter is coming. The car is in storage, and I put it on the trailer in preparation for a sale. It won't see another day outside until mid May 2027, or if sold. Our snow can reach up to 4-5 feet!"
