Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
In the mid-1950s, Popular Mechanics wrote, “Chevrolet’s new V8 is a masterpiece of compact design and smooth performance. It’s the kind of engine that makes you want to drive just for the fun of it.” That statement was prophetic, because the small-block V8 — and the 1955 Chevy — would go on to be legendary.
The 1955 Chevrolet was a high-water mark in American automotive design, introducing a bold new look and engineering innovations that redefined the brand. Known as the first of the iconic “Tri-Five” 1955-57 Chevrolets, the 1955 model was offered in three trim levels — 150, 210, and Bel Air — with a variety of body styles including sedans, wagons, and convertibles.
They featured a sleek, modern look with a Euro-inspired grille, wraparound windshield, and jet-age tailfins. And under the hood, 1955 saw the debut of the small-block V8, a lightweight, high-performance powerplant that became a cornerstone of GM engineering for decades. The 1955 Chevy’s combination of style, performance, and affordability made it a massive success then, and a desirable classic today.
This refreshed ’55 Chevy is still powered by a classic small block — but it's now a 383ci stroker that’s backed by a four-speed manual transmission. It wears light blue paint with gray five-spoke wheels and high-quality chrome. And the black bucket seat interior features a custom cluster with modern gauges, a tilt column with a wood-rimmed steering wheel, a Hurst shifter, and modern air conditioning.
This 1955 Chevrolet 210 2-Door Sedan is now offered by the selling dealer a clean Florida title.
