Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Huntsville, Alabama — or “Rocket City,” as we know it — is home to NASA rocket-propulsion research and development. This special offering is once again a presentation of the unique, with American Muscle, British class, and heavy post war iron from multiple platforms all on offer. These cars are ready for blastoff, and all will be launched to new homes and garages as all lots are presented with NO RESERVE. * * *
The 1955 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible emerged as part of Cadillac’s fourth‑generation Series 62 lineup, which was introduced for the 1954 model year. This generation marked a refinement era for Cadillac, emphasizing sleek styling, advanced engineering, and a growing reputation for luxury. The Series 62 continued Cadillac’s tradition of combining bold design with strong V8 performance, and for 1955, the model benefited from mechanical and cosmetic updates.
A previous owner of this 1955 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible did not settle for those original refinements, however, and performed numerous modifications, most notably swapping in a 5.7L LT1 V8 with electronic fuel injection and installing a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Additional modifications include rack and pinion steering, rear air shocks, front disc brakes with a firewall-mounted power booster and modern master cylinder, a replacement gas tank with externally mounted electric fuel pump, and custom 2” exhaust with resonators. Cosmetically, the car has been refinished in Ruskin Blue enamel paint and wears a white replacement soft top, white convertible boot cover, and white upholstery.
This Cadillac is represented at no reserve by a Broad Arrow Specialist with a clean Florida title.
