The 1940 Chevrolet Sport Sedan Special Deluxe embodied Chevrolet’s prewar refinement. Introduced amid streamlined “Art Deco” styling, it featured integrated headlights, a broader grille, and flowing fenders that modernized the brand. The Special Deluxe trim sat atop the lineup, offering extra brightwork, upgraded fabrics, hydraulic brakes, and improved sound insulation.
