Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Designed by legendary engineer Hans Ledwinka, the 1936 Tatra 75 stands as an important milestone in Czechoslovak automotive engineering during the pre‑World War II era. Introduced in 1933 as the successor to the T54, it carried forward Ledwinka’s innovative backbone chassis and four‑wheel independent suspension, engineering principles that defined Tatra’s identity.
Powered by a 1688cc air‑cooled flat‑four engine producing about 30 PS (“Pferdestärke,” German for horsepower), the rear-wheel-drive T75 offered a top speed of roughly 90 km/h, balancing durability with efficient performance.
Tatra offered the T75 in multiple body styles — including sedans, convertibles, and a long‑wheelbase six‑seat limousine — making it versatile for both family and touring use. Approximately 4,000 units were produced between 1933 and 1939, and as Tatra’s last front‑engined car, the T75 bridged the company’s early engineering traditions with its later shift to rear‑engined, aerodynamically focused designs.
This T75 Convertible, offered from the Tampa Bay Automobile Museum, has been refurbished in light gray paint with painted color-matching steel wheels and wide whitewall tires, and a beige convertible top. The interior is trimmed in contrasting red leather.
This 1936 Tatra T75 Convertible is represented at no reserve by a Broad Arrow Specialist with a clean Florida title in the current owner's name.
