Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

The 1935 Ford 3-Window Coupe is a classic example of Ford’s transition into more streamlined automotive design. Built on the Model 48 chassis, it featured a sleeker body with integrated fenders and a curved grille, reflecting the Art Deco influences of the era.

The “3-window” designation refers to its two side windows and single rear window, giving it a distinctive, sporty profile. The model was powered by Ford’s reliable 221 cubic-inch flathead V8 engine producing 85 horsepower, it offered solid performance for its time, but like many Fords from that time, it didn't remain stock its entire life.

Although not as popular among hot rodders as Fords from 1932, '33, '34, and '40, this 1935 Ford — which began its life as a steel-bodied Coupe — was customized by Jim “Bones” Noteboom for the 2004 SEMA show. With the help of Ken Ginnings and other custom specialists, Notebloom started by removing the top portion of the coupe to create a roadster.  He also pinched and chopped the frame and fabricated a removable fiberglass hardtop. Included among the car’s many upgrades was an engine swap to a 350 cubic-inch V8 with performance enhancements, installation of a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission and new interior, and Frost Beige paint with custom orange flames.
