Description
The 1934 Ford Coupe, part of Ford’s Model 40 lineup, became an icon of automotive design and performance during the Great Depression. It featured refined styling from the previous year, with a deeper grille, straight hood louvers, and smaller headlights, giving it a sleek, modern look. Under the hood, Ford’s legendary 221ci Flathead V8 delivered 85 horsepower, paired with a 3-speed manual transmission on a 112-inch wheelbase—making it affordable yet powerful. Available in 3-window and 5-window configurations, over 47,000 coupes were produced in 1934.
Beyond its factory appeal, the 1934 Ford Coupe became a cultural phenomenon. Its lightweight body and robust V8 made it a favorite among early hot rodders in postwar America, who transformed these cars into speed machines. This ‘34 3-Window Coupe Street Rod is powered by a fuel-injected 350ci V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. The fiberglass body, mounted to a fabricated steel frame, is finished in black and features a chopped roof, exposed engine bay, and rear-hinged doors. Additional modifications include staggered five-spoke American Racing wheels, front disc brakes, and black reptile-look vinyl upholstery.
This ‘34 Ford Street Rod is now offered with a clean Florida title in the seller’s name that describes the car as a "1934 Ford".
