The 1934 Ford was one of the most significant automobiles ever produced. Equipped with updated styling, a powerful flathead V8, and impressive reliability, it helped boost Ford’s sales during a challenging economic period.
It was offered in a variety of body styles, including the desirable Tudor Coupe which could be had in the 3- and 5-window versions that bewitched hot rodders after World War II. Trim levels included Standard and De Luxe options, with the De Luxe offering two-tone paint, chrome exterior accents, interior wood accents, and additional lights.
Ford’s famous 221ci flathead V8 engine now produced 85 horsepower. That performance was noted by police forces and criminals alike — infamous bank robber Clyde Barrow of Bonnie and Clyde fame even praised the car in a letter to Henry Ford, highlighting its speed and reliability.
This example wears an older repaint with tan upholstery, rides on 17” wheels, and features a rumble seat. It reportedly retains stock running gear, which was said to have been last mechanically reconditioned 15 years ago. Other service work reported by the seller includes a Stromberg carburetor overhaul, replacement of the battery, tires, and tubes, as well as the leaf springs and an overhaul of the Houdaille shocks. As it has sat for a period of time, it should be given a comprehensive inspection before driving.
This 1934 Ford 5-Window Coupe is now offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of its current owner with manufacturer literature, era license plates, and a clean Wisconsin title in the seller's name.

Additional Information
The selling broker states, “Mechanically, this is a solid example. It starts, runs, drives and stops but may need work to be roadworthy."
“Due to the age and nature of collector automobiles, we cannot guarantee that every vehicle function will work as it originally did when the vehicle was new. These components are typically 30-60 years old or more and may need attention and service.
“In addition, many of our vehicles are from estates and have been stored and not driven. When vehicles sit for periods of time or once they are driven, issues can arise without warning.
“Due to age, all vehicles are sold strictly as-is without warranty or set aside. Pre-purchase inspections are encouraged and welcome while the auction is running.”
