Description
The Ford Model 40 represented the evolution of Ford's groundbreaking Flathead V8 line, which had debuted in 1932 as the first mass-produced, affordable V8 engine available to American consumers. The Flathead V8 quickly became one of the most influential engines in automotive history, helping establish Ford's reputation for performance and later serving as a major contributor to the postwar hot rod movement.
For 1933, Ford introduced an extensive redesign. The wheelbase was stretched from 106 to 112 inches, the body adopted a longer and more streamlined appearance, and Ford introduced the distinctive “shovel” grille that became one of the model's most recognizable attributes. Deluxe models further benefited from upgraded trim and woodgrained interior accents.
This 1993 Ford Model 40 Deluxe Fordor is finished in black paint with red pinstriping and red wire wheels with white wall tires, as well as a rear-mounted spare tire. The interior is brown cloth, with bench seats in the front and rear, and the car is powered by a 221ci Ford Flathead V8 engine mated to a 3-speed floor-shifted manual transmission. Reportedly, this Ford has been in the seller's family since 1965 and is said to have been featured in some minor film roles under their ownership.
This 1933 Ford Model 40 DeLuxe Fordor is now offered with a clean Wisconsin title in the seller’s name.

Additional Information
The Wisconsin title lists the serial number as 178825 rather than the I78825 stamped into the vehicle.
The seller states, "The car was painted 9 years ago and the top replaced by a reputable restorer. Many receipts are available for work done throughout the years. The original interior is in incredible shape for its age." "Purchased in 1965 from an estate sale, this survivor has been lovingly cared for by one family for 60 years. When purchased the auto had 36,000 miles on the odometer and now sports just over 50,000 on the original engine, which has never been overhauled or out of the car. Yearly maintenance was always performed by reputable mechanics through involvement and membership with the Early Ford V-8 Club in Milwaukee." "It had updated 1934 intake manifold components when purchased back in 1965. Also present when purchased was the presence of a dashboard start button, replacing the floor starter."
