Description
The 1932 Ford was a popular choice for hot rodders due to its aesthetically beautiful design, balanced proportions, smooth frame rails, lightweight all-steel construction, and Ford's new flathead V8 engine. But by the 1950s, the supply of rust-free Henry Ford Steel bodies ripe for customization was dwindling, so the industry turned to fiberglass, which was pioneered by the marine industry years prior. The innovation spawned the massive kit-car and street rod industry, which allows professionals and enthusiasts to build custom cars more easily, affordably, and completely free of rust with modern conveniences, such as air conditioning, independent suspension, and modern drivetrains.
This ’32 Ford Victoria hot rod was built under previous ownership using a fiberglass body and an aftermarket chassis that features a dropped front axle, hairpin radius rods, and a four-link Ford 9” rear axle with adjustable coilovers. It is powered by a 302ci Ford V8 equipped with dual Edelbrock carburetors and backed by a Ford AOD four-speed automatic transmission. Additional build highlights include Halibrand-style wheels, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, chrome bumpers, power windows, dark gray vinyl upholstery, and a tilt steering column with a banjo-style steering wheel.
This fiberglass ‘32 Ford Hot Rod is now offered with build documentation and a clean Tennessee title in the seller's name describing it as a 1932 Ford.
