Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

If it was loud, fast, or custom, you knew Trebbi—er, trouble—was coming. Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, George Trebbi was known for his insatiable quest for knowledge in business, history, and classic cars. He loved sharing his knowledge and passion with friends and family, and he could frequently be found taking his grandchildren for a joyride in one of his cherished Chevys. Hagerty Marketplace is proud to present The Trebbi Collection: custom, fast, and loud—and all presented without reserve.

* * *   The 1928–1931 Ford Model A will be forever known as the quintessential hot rod. It was bigger, stronger, and more comfortable than the Model T it replaced, and more than four million Model As were built in a variety of body styles. However, it was the Roadster’s sleek styling that stood out to the speed-crazy soldiers returning from World War II.

Those young hot rodders began to modify the Model A for increased performance, and its popularity exploded. Soon, highly modified Roadsters were a fixture on streets and dry lake beds all over America. And today, these Fords are still highly desirable — nearly 100 years after they were built!

This 1929 Model A combines the classic Roadster look with a modern all-steel body and chassis from Brookville Roadster. It has been refinished in silver, rides on a coil-over suspension and 5-spoke aftermarket wheels, and stops thanks to 4-wheel disc brakes. The interior features burgundy upholstery on the front bench seat, rear rumble seat, and door panels, along with matching carpet and steering wheel. And VDO gauges live in a custom cluster, with a tach mounted to the tilt column and billet shifter in easy arm’s reach.

Its cammed 350ci Chevy V8 is topped with a 4-barrel carburetor, an aftermarket intake manifold, and block hugger headers. And a 3-speed automatic transmission passes the power to an aftermarket rear end.

This 1929 Ford Model A Roadster hot rod is now represented at no reserve by a Broad Arrow Specialist with a clean Ohio title in the current owner's name.
