The 2012 Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca was Ford’s ultimate tribute to its Trans-Am racing legacy. Named for the track where the original Boss triumphed in 1970, this limited-edition model elevated performance far beyond the standard Boss 302.

Engineers infused race-bred DNA from the Boss 302R, adding a stiffer chassis, larger stabilizer bars, and deleting the rear seat for an X-brace that boosted rigidity. A Torsen limited-slip differential, Brembo brakes, and revised suspension delivered precision handling. Under the hood, a 5.0-liter Ti-VCT V8 churned out 444 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque, paired with a close-ratio six-speed manual and 3.73 gears. Aerodynamic upgrades included a deep front splitter and oversized rear spoiler, complemented by exclusive Black or Ingot Silver paint with bold red accents. Inside, Recaro seats and a performance gauge cluster underscored its track mission.
