Description
The third-generation (C3) Corvette debuted in 1968 with a daring new presence inspired by Larry Shinoda’s Mako Shark II concept. Its dramatic, sculpted bodywork paired with a completely redesigned interior helped drive Corvette sales to record highs for General Motors. Signature features included flowing fender lines and vacuum-operated hidden headlights that would become a lasting Corvette trademark.
The final year of C3 production arrived in 1982, introducing the L83 “Cross-Fire” fuel-injected 5.7-liter Chevrolet small-block V8 with Computer Command Control, paired exclusively with the new 700‑R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Following Chevrolet’s 1981 move to the Bowling Green, Kentucky assembly plant, optional two-tone paint schemes were offered to showcase the facility’s advanced water-borne paint technology.
Originally delivered to Jim Smith Chevrolet in Spring Valley, New York, this 1982 Corvette shows fewer than 28,500 miles. It is finished in Silver Blue Metallic and Dark Blue Metallic two-tone over a Dark Blue leather interior. Equipment includes removable glass T-top panels, 15-inch aluminum wheels, and optional Delco cassette stereo. The 'Vette has been part of the selling dealer’s personal collection since 2022, receiving detailed maintenance and care.
This 1982 Chevrolet Corvette is now offered by the selling dealer in Florida with owner’s manual, T-Top storage bags, a clean CARFAX, and clean New Jersey title.
