Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
“CJ Golden Eagle: The boldest Jeep of them all,” proclaimed the 1979 AMC Jeep sales brochure, capturing the essence of one of the most iconic special editions in Jeep history. The 1979 Jeep CJ-7 Golden Eagle captures the spirit of American off-road adventure like few others. Introduced in 1976 as a longer-wheelbase version of the CJ-5, the CJ-7 touted a 10-inch longer wheelbase, improved suspension, and superior interior comfort over its predecessor. As a rare factory special edition, the Golden Eagle package added bold styling and unmistakable presence to the CJ-7 platform, gold-accented wheels, Levi’s-branded vinyl seats, and a full carpeted interior added a touch of rugged luxury. Finished in a rich shade of Copper Brown Metallic with the iconic Golden Eagle hood decal, this CJ-7 blends rugged 4x4 capability with ‘70s-era flair. Powered by the factory 304 cu-in V8 and mated to a 4-speed manual transmission, this example has been carefully restored, retaining its unmistakable vintage character.
