Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

The Triumph TR6 was built for model years 1969-1976 and represented the last of Triumph’s traditional, rugged British roadsters. Built on a body-on-frame chassis with independent rear suspension, rack-and-pinion steering, and front disc brakes, the TR6 delivered a spirited driving experience. Under the hood was a 2.5L inline-six with twin Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, producing around 104 horsepower. A 4-speed manual gearbox was standard. By 1975, federal safety regulations in the U.S. prompted changes: rubber bumper overriders, raised front bumpers, and revised lighting. An air injection system was added for emissions compliance. Despite these updates, the TR6 retained its reputation as an affordable yet thrilling sports car.

This 1975 example was purchased by the seller 12 years ago after reportedly sitting in storage with the original owner’s family. After rebuilding the front suspension, cleaning the carburetors, replacing all fluids, and thorough detailing, it was back on the road. Since then, regular service has been provided, reupholstered Mazda Miata bucket seats were installed to match the refreshed blue interior, and blue racing stripes were added to bring it all together.

This Triumph TR6 is now offered with service records, two tonneau covers, a cloth car cover, a TR6 service manual, and a clean New York title in the seller’s name.

Additional Information

From the seller, “This is my second Triumph and one that I have enjoyed every Spring, Summer and Fall since May 2012.  It has proved to be a reliable vehicle for my wife and I to enjoy weekend trips as well as everyday trips around town or work.  Although it is not a “show car” in the true sense of the words it does turn heads and is noticed when on the road or parked at British sports car shows.”
