Description

The Triumph TR6, produced from 1968 to 1976, is among the most iconic British roadsters of its era. Styled by Karmann of Germany, it featured a squared-off design that modernized the TR series while preserving classic proportions. Powered by a 2.5L inline-six with dual carburetors, the TR6 featured a four-speed manual gearbox, independent rear suspension, and front disc brakes for balanced handling and spirited performance. Inside, wood-trimmed accents and a driver-focused cockpit complemented its open-top design. As Triumph’s best-selling TR model, the TR6 remains celebrated today for its timeless styling, engaging driving experience, and enduring appeal among enthusiasts.

Finished in red with a black soft top and vinyl interior, this 1973 example has been in the seller’s family since 2008. Well-preserved, this TR6 has seen mechanical updates including an engine rebuild in 2012, extensive servicing, a new soft top, and re-padded seats. An upgraded stereo and speakers add to the fun, though the seller states that the vehicle remains in largely factory specification.

This 1973 Triumph TR6 is now offered with service records dating back to the ‘70s, soft top and cockpit tonneau covers, its factory owner’s manual, and a clean Indiana title in the seller’s name.
