Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

With four versions of its popular mid-size car — Sedan, Heavy Chevy Sport Coupe, SS, and top-tier Malibu — Chevrolet made sure that the Chevelle went out with a bang for 1972.

A wider grille, new front parking lights, and updated interior materials and colors differentiated 1972 models. Engines ranged from a six cylinder to high-performance V8s, which were backed by three- or four-speed manual or two or three-speed automatic transmissions. A variety of gear ratios suited for highways, drag strips, and everywhere in between were available for the rear differential. When other muscle cars had simply faded away, Chevelle still had the looks and the performance, a fitting swan song as America coasted toward the uncertainty of the smog era.

This '72 Chevelle Malibu project is finished in black with white stripes, and wears black upholstery along with SS body and interior trim. Underhood, its replacement 350ci V8 is backed up by a four-speed automatic transmission. Additional modifications include a lowered performance suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, and 18” Weld wheels wearing Nitto rubber.

This 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Sport Coupe project is now offered by the selling dealer with $32k in build receipts and a clean Florida title.
