Description
Introduced in 1968, the third-generation Chevrolet Corvette (C3) brought dramatic styling and improved performance to America’s iconic sports car. By 1971, the Stingray had evolved into a more refined machine, balancing muscle car aggression with sports car sophistication. With its long hood, sharply sculpted fenders, and removable T-top roof panels, the C3 Corvette remains one of the most recognizable designs of the era.
Originally War Bonnet Yellow over Saddle, this 1971 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe “Stingray” was refinished in a brighter yellow (believed to be either Sunflower Yellow or Daytona Yellow) over a reupholstered black interior. It presents as a well-preserved driver with modifications—the seller notes, “This restomod was a personal project built by our late father, who restored it with the goal of creating a fun, reliable weekend getaway car.”
While retaining its classic silhouette, this example features a fuel-injected 350ci V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Modern enhancements include 18-inch Foose wheels, a chrome-dressed engine bay, and a contemporary stereo system. Power steering and four-wheel disc brakes further improve drivability and comfort.
This upgraded Corvette is now offered with documentation of the early 2000s refurbishment, some service records, a car cover, and a clean Michigan title in the seller’s name.

Additional Notes
From the seller: “This 1971 Corvette Stingray restomod was a personal project built by our late father, who restored it with the goal of creating a fun, reliable ‘weekend getaway car.’ His vision combined classic C3 styling with modernized mechanical components. In the early 2000s, it underwent a complete frame-off restoration, receiving a full repaint and reupholstered interior, an updated powertrain, and many new chrome and rechromed components.
Since the restoration, it’s been primarily garage-kept and driven on dry summer roads. It mostly sat undriven since 2016, so in the summer of 2024 we had Westside Vette Inc. service the vehicle to ensure its roadworthiness. We’ve since driven it regularly, and it always starts quickly, feels confidence-inspiring, and operates smoothly.
A full folder of receipts documenting the restoration and maintenance is included. This restomod 1971 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray reflects our father’s vision of a bright, personalized cruiser—mechanically sound and ready for its next owner to enjoy!”
