Description
In 1970, Don Yenko, a renowned racer and Chevrolet dealer, introduced the Yenko Deuce—a high-performance version of the Chevrolet Nova. Unlike previous Yenko-modified cars that used big-block engines, the Deuce featured the COPO-installed 350ci LT-1 small-block V8, borrowed from the Corvette and Camaro Z/28. The savvy engine choice offered impressive performance while avoiding the insurance penalties associated with big-blocks
This 1970 Nova Coupe has been modified in the style of a Yenko Duece, of which only 175 were originally produced. A Corvette-sourced 350ci LT1 V8 sends power to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The engine has been modified with an uprated camshaft, and the Moser rear end and axles are mated to an Eaton limited-slip differential. Stopping power is provided by front disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors covered by five-spoke 15” American Racing wheels.
This Yenko Deuce tribute is finished in yellow with black striping and graphics, and the interior is upholstered in black vinyl with door panels adorned with Yenko Deuce branding. Additional features include a hood-mounted tachometer joined by an auxiliary gauge pod mounted under the dashboard, as well as a cassette stereo. This Nova is now offered by the seller on behalf of a dealer with a clean Indiana title.
