Description
The second-generation Chevrolet C Series trucks, introduced in 1967 and produced through 1972, marked a bold shift in pickup design. Early C10 models featured a sleek, car-like aesthetic with an elongated front end, a refined grille, a streamlined cab, and a flush-mounted tailgate latch. This forward-thinking design surprised traditional truck buyers, with later iterations adopting a more utilitarian look to align with market expectations.
By 1970, the C10 offered remarkable versatility. Buyers could choose between fleetside or stepside beds, short (115-inch) or long (127-inch) wheelbases, a range of engines including inline sixes and small- or big-block V8s, manual or automatic transmissions, and multiple rear axle ratios.
Yet the standout feature was comfort: built on a ladder frame with coil spring suspension, the C10 delivered a smooth, car-like ride. It also came loaded with convenience and power options that were ahead of its time. Revolutionary then, the 1970 C10 remains a highly sought-after classic today — celebrated for its blend of comfort, style, and performance.
This 1970 C10 restomod has been refinished in stunning lime green with custom pinstriping and graphics, is powered by a modified LS1 V8 with Sniper fuel injection, and rolls on massive chrome wheels.
