Description
A quintessential expression of British motoring tradition, the Morgan 4/4 has long embodied the charm of handcrafted engineering and spirited driving. This 1969 Morgan 4/4 four-seater, finished in striking Tangier Orange, is a right-hand-drive example originally delivered to a South African buyer at the Morgan factory in December 1969. Privately transported to Johannesburg in early 1970, the car later made its way to British Columbia in 1994 before being acquired by the current owner in June 2016.
Under current ownership, this Morgan has undergone a thoughtful transformation that enhances its performance while preserving its vintage character. A 1,690 cc Ford Kent inline-four engine built by Harris Performance Engines of Kent, England, was installed in 2020, paired with a BGH Geartech T9 five-speed manual transmission. The result is a lively and responsive driving experience, supported by modern upgrades such as SPAX gas shocks, front disc brakes, and a brake servo.
Inside, the black vinyl upholstery complements the black convertible top, while STV Motorsports four-point safety harnesses and wind wings add both safety and flair. The car’s classic silhouette is accentuated by powder-coated black 15-inch wire wheels, a luggage rack, and headlight stone guards. This Morgan 4/4 is not just a car—it’s a rolling celebration of craftsmanship, individuality, and the enduring joy of open-air motoring.

Ownership History
Originally delivered from Morgan’s Malvern Hills factory to a South African buyer in December 1969, this Morgan 4/4 was privately shipped to Johannesburg in February 1970. It changed hands in 1972 and remained in South Africa until 1994, when the second owner relocated to British Columbia, Canada. The five-digit odometer reads 6,045, but it is believed to have rolled over once, inferring 106,045 miles. Now residing in Gold Canyon, Arizona, the current owner acquired the car in June 2016 and has since overseen its mechanical transformation and cosmetic enhancements.
