Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The 1967 Morris Minor 1000 represents one of the final and most refined versions of Britain’s classic postwar compact car. First introduced in 1956 as an evolution of the Minor Series II, the “1000” name originally denoted a 948cc engine, though by 1962 the model adopted the stronger 1098cc A-series unit found in 1967 examples. This engine delivered smoother performance and improved torque, helping the Minor keep pace with modern traffic while preserving its well-known mechanical simplicity.
By the late ’60s, the Minor had become a cultural favorite, appreciated for its durability, affordability, and the charming, practical design created by Alec Issigonis. The 1967 models featured the later single-piece curved windshield in place of the earlier split design, along with interior updates such as improved heating and upgraded trim. Offered as a saloon, Traveller, convertible, and light‑commercial‑variant, the Minor remained versatile and approachable. Today, the 1967 Morris Minor 1000 is cherished for its friendly character and its strong connection to Britain’s motoring heritage.
This 1967 Morris Minor 1000 Deluxe is now powered by a 1275cc BMC A-series engine with twin SU carburetors from an MG Midget Mark III or Austin-Healey Sprite Mark IV. Aside from the bigger engine and British Minator 13” aluminum wheels, it is said to remain largely unmodified. It was reportedly restored previously with factory parts.
This refreshed Morris Minor 1000 is now represented at no reserve by a Broad Arrow Specialist with ownership and registration documentation dating back to February 1980 and a clean Florida title in the current owner's name.
