Description

“From its jet-age grille to its fastback roofline, Charger is designed to turn heads and quicken pulses.” The 1967 Dodge Charger marked the debut of Dodge’s entry into the fastback muscle car market. Introduced in mid-1966 as a response to the Pontiac GTO’s success, the Charger was based on the B-body platform shared with the Dodge Coronet but featured a radically different design. Its sleek, fastback roofline, hidden headlights, and full-width grille gave it a futuristic and aggressive look, setting it apart from other cars of the era.

Inside, the Charger offered a luxurious and sporty feel, with four bucket seats and a full-length center console—an unusual layout for the time. The instrument panel features electroluminescent gauges, adding to its high-tech appeal.

Under the hood, buyers could choose from a range of powerful engines, starting with the 318-cubic inch V8 and topping out with the legendary 426 HEMI, making the Charger a serious performance contender.

Just 15,788 1967 Charger were produced, laying the groundwork for the wildly successful second-generation model introduced in 1968. This ’67 Charger is mostly original right down to the assembly line quality control stamps and has been enhanced by a Mopar 340 cu-in V8 crate engine replacing the original 318.
