Description

The 1967 Chevrolet Corvette is widely celebrated as the pinnacle of the second-generation (C2) Corvette, combining refined styling, powerful engine options, and improved drivability. Originally intended to be replaced by the new C3 design, the 1967 model was a result of a delayed redesign, allowing Chevrolet to perfect the outgoing generation.

Stylistic updates included five functional fender vents, a cleaner front grille, and a stinger-style hood for big-block models. The car was available in both coupe and convertible body styles. Under the hood, buyers could choose from several potent engines. Among them, the L68 Tri-Power 427 cu-in V8 featured three two-barrel Holley carburetors — known as the “Tri-Power” setup.

Of the 22,940 Corvettes built for ’67, only 2,101 received the L68 427, including this one. However, the original engine failed several years after purchase and was replaced with a 1970s CE 3963513 (GM Counter Exchange) 454. The Corvette’s seller, nephew of the second owner, admired the car his entire life and bought it from his uncle in 2016. In addition to its powerful engine, this well-maintained droptop is finished in stunning Marina Blue Metallic paint with a black vinyl top, black vinyl bucket seats, and BF Goodrich redline tires. The odometer currently shows 18,076 miles.

Ownership History

The seller's uncle reportedly purchased this 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible form the original owner in 1968 and owned it until the seller's purchase from him in May 2016. During the seller's uncle’s 48 years of ownership, the original 427 engine block was replaced, and it is claimed that most of the factory engine parts were retained.

The car is currently titled in Indiana but located in Florida.
