Description
The 1967 Chevrolet Corvette is often regarded as the ultimate expression of the second-generation (C2) Corvette, blending sharpened styling, strong engine choices, and improved road manners. Although the C3 redesign was originally slated to debut that year, production delays extended the C2’s run, giving Chevrolet extra time to refine its final iteration.
For 1967, designers added five functional fender vents, a simplified front grille, and—on big‑block cars—a distinctive stinger‑style hood. Buyers could choose either a coupe or convertible, and Chevrolet offered a wide range of performance engines. One extraordinary engine was the L68 Tri‑Power 427-cu-in V8, equipped with three two‑barrel Holley carburetors that created the famed “Tri‑Power” induction system.
Out of 22,940 Corvettes built for the model year, just 2,101 were ordered with the L68 427, including the example described here. Its original engine, however, failed a few years later and was swapped for a 1970s GM Counter Exchange 454. That engine was recently replaced under current ownership by a high-performance 454 (receipts in Documents). Finished in striking Marina Blue Metallic with a black vinyl top, black bucket seats, and BFGoodrich redline tires, this convertible currently shows around 18,350 miles on the odometer.
This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is now represented by a Broad Arrow Specialist with receipts from the engine a clean Florida title in the current owner's name.
