Description
The fourth-generation 1965–70 Chevrolet Impala was a sales success, thanks to a broad range of body styles and engine options. By 1966, Impala was curvy and sleek, and available in Sport Coupe, Sport Sedan, sedan, 2- or 3-seat station wagon, or convertible versions. And with a variety of power luxury options, exterior colors, interior color schemes, and sport packages, it was easy to customize it to your particular taste.
The Impala Super Sport got its own unique styling, which included an updated interior, sports-styled wheel covers, and SS badging. Standard bucket seats were a comfortable place to control a powerful V8, which sent power to an awaiting manual or automatic transmission.
Purchased by the seller in 2018, this 1966 Impala SS Convertible is refinished in red and powered by a FiTech fuel-injected small-block 350ci V8 backed by a two-speed automatic transmission. The electrical, cooling, suspension, braking, and steering systems have been replaced or upgraded for increased reliability as detailed below, a new convertible motor will let you quickly drop the top for cruise nights, and air conditioning will keep you cool on summer days.
This upgraded Impala SS Convertible is now offered with service records since 2020, a 1966 chassis service manual, and a Missouri title in the seller’s name.

Ownership History
The seller, who acquired this 1966 Chevrolet Impala SS in 2018, states: “My first car was a 1966 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport hardtop in Regal Red. I sold the car and instantly regretted it. A few years ago I began looking for a 1966 Impala and found this car in Central Missouri. This Impala was in good shape but needed to have some mechanical TLC. The restoration/repair work was done professionally, as I wanted to make sure that I had a mechanically solid car to drive. Overall, this car is in excellent shape, and has been cared for over the past 60 years.”
