Description

The 1937 Chevrolet Pickup marked a turning point in truck design, blending style and utility during the Art Deco era. Chevrolet introduced a streamlined look with rounded fenders, aerodynamic grille, and headlight housings—moving away from the boxy shapes of earlier trucks. This modern styling reflected the growing influence of passenger car aesthetics in the truck market. The lineup included several configurations to meet diverse needs: the popular half-ton pickup (Series GC), the panel truck, and the canopy express.

Acquired by the seller as a project in 2023 and completed under their ownership, this GC pickup has been modified with an extended cab and rides on a chassis reportedly sourced from a 1972 Chevrolet C10. Power is provided by a 307ci V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission and limited-slip differential. The body is refinished in red with black fenders and running boards, and features a wooden-plank bed floor and side stakes. Late-model bucket seats and rear jump seats are fitted, along with power-assisted steering and brakes with discs up front.

This customized GC pickup is now offered with a bonded Minnesota title in the seller’s name listing it as a "1937 Chevrolet Master".
