Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The 1935 Chevrolet Standard was introduced in 1933 as a budget-friendly alternative to the uplevel Master De Luxe. At the time, its shorter 107-inch wheelbase, regular front beam axle, and downrated, 74-horsepower 206ci six cylinder was considered basic.
However, the Standard Coupe’s imposing grille, bulging fenders, sleek hood strakes, and sensually curved rear were nothing like the “Turret Top” De Luxe — in fact, they bore resemblance to a certain cross-town rival’s coupe. In short, Standard Coupes were an athletic, stylish choice then, and today they’re a great foundation for customization.
This 1935 Standard Coupe hot rod has been refinished in deep purple, rides on a custom coil-spring suspension, wears chrome wheels, and is powered by a modified 327ci V8 backed by a four-speed manual transmission. The cabin is equipped with tan seats, with matching door panels, steering wheel, back seat area, and headliner. And a Hurst shifter falls easily to hand while the driver monitors timeless Stewart Warner gauges.
This classic Chevrolet reportedly received braking, cooling, and HVAC updates in mid-2025, wears an updated chassis ID plate, and is now represented at no reserve by a Broad Arrow Specialist with a 1935/1936 Body Service Manual and a clean Michigan title in the current owner’s name.
