Description

The 1931 Ford Model A marked the final year of production for Ford’s successor to the Model T, offering improved styling, reliability, and comfort. Introduced in late 1927, the Model A became a best-seller through the early Depression years thanks to its affordability and versatility.

By 1931, Ford offered a wide range of body styles, including Tudor and Fordor sedans, coupes, roadsters, phaetons, and commercial vehicles. Among these, the Model A Pickup stood out as a practical workhorse. Powered by a 200.5 cubic-inch four-cylinder engine producing 40 horsepower, it delivered durability and simplicity for farmers and tradesmen.

This ’31 Pickup remained within the family of the original owner for 84 years from 1931 to when the seller acquired it in 2015 and is said to retain many of its original parts and features, including its inline-four engine and three-speed manual gearbox. The seller performed an update in 2021 that included refinishing the pickup in blue paint with yellow steel-spoked wheels, reupholstering the interior with gray-patterned vinyl on the bench seat and brown vinyl on the door panels, and replacing the truck’s bed boards.

This two-family-owned 1931 Ford Model A Pickup is now offered with a dust cover and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
