The Shelby Super Snake occupies the top of the Shelby American performance hierarchy for the S550 Mustang generation — a factory-to-Shelby pipeline that begins with a production GT and ends with a re-engineered performance car bearing Shelby's nameplate.

For 2022, Shelby American capped Super Snake production at a maximum of 298 units across all variants, with non-Speedster coupes limited to 200. This example, CSM #22SS0058, was built on a GT Premium equipped with the GT Performance Package and MagneRide damping before being shipped to Shelby American in Las Vegas, Nevada, for conversion.

The result: a car that Shelby rated at 825-plus flywheel horsepower via a Whipple supercharger installation, with Shelby-spec Brembo brakes, forged aluminum wheels, aluminum front fenders, a functional Ram Air hood, and an exterior and interior transformation that leaves little of the standard GT's appearance intact.

This Super Snake is finished in Rapid Red Metallic with silver full-body racing stripes over a Shelby two-tone Ebony leather interior with Super Snake embroidered seats. It was originally sold through Sarchione Ford in Randolph, Ohio, and registered in North Carolina, and it now shows just over 2,900 miles.
