Description
“This is what it means to be domestic, not domesticated.” The 2020 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack Widebody was a bold fusion of retro muscle car heritage and modern performance engineering. Introduced as part of Dodge’s strategy to expand the Widebody lineup, this variant built upon the already potent Scat Pack by adding aggressive styling and enhanced handling capabilities.
Powered by a naturally aspirated 6.4-liter (392 cu-in) HEMI V8 producing 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque, the Widebody model benefits from wider fender flares that accommodate 305-section Pirelli tires wrapped around 20-inch wheels. These upgrades, along with a performance-tuned suspension featuring adaptive damping, significantly improve grip and cornering stability.
The Widebody package also includes Brembo six-piston front brakes, a functional front splitter, and a rear spoiler, giving it both visual menace and track-ready stopping power. Inside, the Challenger retains its classic driver-focused cockpit, with available performance pages and launch control.
With a quarter-mile time in the low 12-second range and 0–60 mph in around 4.3 seconds, the 2020 R/T Scat Pack Widebody delivers thrilling performance while maintaining the Challenger’s signature comfort and usability. As Motor Trend reported in 2020, “Of all of today's modern muscle cars, it best bridges the gap between old and new.”
