Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Is the grand tourer the pinnacle of automotive engineering? It requires a car to be designed for high speed and long-distance driving, combining performance with luxury. In 2008, Maserati introduced its latest attempt to take the crown of top grand tourer, appropriately named the GranTurismo, featuring seductive Pininfarina styling, a 405 horsepower, 4.2-liter V8 tracing its roots to the Ferrari F430, and a glorious throaty exhaust note.
Maserati developed the GranTurismo MC for the FIA GT4 European Cup, as the racing version of the GranTurismo S. The car included a three-point racing harness, 32-gallon fuel tank and performance upgrades across the brakes and suspensions. Weight reduction was found with carbon fiber bodywork and lexan racing windows. While the car shares the 4.7-liter V8 engine with the GranTurismo S, it is tuned for maximum power output of 444 horsepower with a six-speed automated manual transmission.
This GranTurismo S has been driven, as intended, since it left the factory in Modena, Italy. It wears Bianco Fuji Pearl over black interior and features a clean CARFAX.
