The X351-generation Jaguar XJ marked one of the most dramatic transformations in the model’s history. Introduced in 2009 for the 2010 model year, it replaced decades of retro‑styled XJs with a bold, modern design led by Jaguar’s then-design director Ian Callum. The new XJ adopted an aluminum monocoque chassis — one of the first luxury sedans to do so — significantly reducing weight while improving rigidity and efficiency. Its fastback profile, panoramic glass roof, and aggressive front fascia signaled Jaguar’s shift toward contemporary luxury and performance.
