The 2008 Dodge Caliber SRT4 was a high-performance version of the Dodge Caliber, developed by Chrysler's Street and Racing Technology (SRT) division. Introduced at the Chicago Auto Show in February 2006, it replaced the Neon-based SRT-4. The Dodge Caliber blended the design of a compact car, crossover, and hatchback all into one vehicle, and the hot SRT4 added aggressive styling, including a functional hood scoop, larger grille, and a prominent rear spoiler. The Caliber SRT4 was powered by a turbocharged and intercooled 2.4-liter DOHC inline-four engine rated at 285 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque through a Getrag DMT-6 six-speed manual transmission driving the front wheels. The suspension was lowered to improve handling, and it rode on 19-inch wheels with performance tires. Four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with vented front rotors and twin-piston calipers brought it to a stop. Inside, race-inspired design cues include deeply bolstered SRT-badge embroidered seating, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and an SRT race-inspired instrument design. 

The Caliber SRT4 was priced competitively at $22,995 and only offered in 2008 and 2009. Just 5,562 Caliber SRT4s were built, including 4,586 in 2008. This low-mileage 2008 Dodge Caliber SRT4 is a notable example of affordable performance from the late 2000s.
