Description
The Z06 option code stretched all the way back to 1963, but the 2006 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 was a whole new animal, thanks to a monstrous 7.0-liter mill called LS7. This V8 used trickle-down technology from Corvette’s racing program, including titanium connecting rods and a dry-sump oiling system. Feeding 505 horsepower to a six-speed manual, it made a whopping 100 horses more than the C5 Z06’s engine.
And the hardtop-only C6 Z06’s chassis and body were just as high-tech: sitting on a light, rigid aluminum and magnesium frame, the body was 3.3 inches wider in the rear to run fat 325mm tires, and it wore a magnesium hardtop and carbon fiber fenders and floorboards for stiffness and weight savings. The Corvette rode on a potent-yet-compliant suspension, with massive six-piston front and four-piston rear brakes using individual “padlets.” This was a bona-fide supercar with a 22 cubic-foot trunk.
Car and Driver’s editors revealed, “It ripped to 60 mph in only 3.6 seconds, hit 100 in 7.9, and 150 in 17.5. Spending double the Z06’s price does not guarantee you’ll have a car that can beat it.”
This pampered, single-owner 2007 Z06 wears the desirable 2LZ package with two-tone seats, has been intelligently modified for increased performance, and has only traveled 10,272 miles.

Ownership History
The accompanying CARFAX Vehicle History Report places this one-owner 2007 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 in New York and North Carolina.
The consignor states, “Engine builder (Robert Werner) at the GM Performance Build Center in Wixom, Michigan communicated that on my specific engine that it is pretty much a race engine, balanced and blueprinted. I actually had a chance to ask him about my LS7, and he assured me it would withstand anything thrown at it and was built after the initial LS7s were built. The Z06 motors were built in Michigan, then shipped to Bowling Green Assembly Plant for installation.”
