Since its debut in 1955, elegant styling has been the primary tenant of the Ford Thunderbird, with ten distinctly styled generations across 47 years of production. After a five-year hiatus, Ford revived the iconic “T-Bird” with a retro-styled two-seater convertible evocative of first-generation “Baby Bird” design – the last two-seater Thunderbird before the addition of back seats in 1958. From its porthole windows found in the hard top to its distinctive round headlights, there was no denying the eleventh and final generation was Thunderbird at its very best. Like its forbearer, the 2002 Thunderbird boasted smooth V8 power and a comfortable ride touted by Ford as “relaxed sportiness.” The final Thunderbird was, and still is, an ideal choice for someone seeking automotive individuality.
