Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Pack a Viper V10 in a pickup truck? That's what the power-crazed engineers at Chrysler’s Street & Racing Technology (SRT) group did in 2004, and the Guinness Book of World Records deemed it “…the world’s fastest production pickup truck, with a measured top speed of 154.587 mph (248.783 kph) sustained over a ‘flying kilometer.’” That’s what 500 horsepower and 525 lb-ft. of torque can do.
The SRT-10 had the same hand-built aluminum V10 engine assembled at the Viper’s Conner Avenue facility in Detroit. That power passed through Viper’s Hurst-shifted T-56 six-speed manual gearbox to a Dana 60 axle.
The aggressively restyled Regular Cab Ram wore a chin spoiler and massive hood scoop, restyled rocker panels, and a sleek rear end rocking a huge spoiler. Underneath, the lowered suspension featured custom-tuned springs and shocks, 22-inch chrome wheels, and huge brake rotors with ABS.
Inside, occupants were coddled with suede-trim leather buckets with side bolsters, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, silver-face gauges, and aluminum pedals.
Airpark Dodge Chrysler Jeep in Scottsdale, Arizona, delivered this SRT-10 in February 2004. Dodge built 3,057 SRT-10s for 2004, and only 698 (22.8%) were finished in Bright Silver Metallic like this one, making it the second-rarest color that year.
This example was recently acquired by Hagerty for a Jason Cammisa-hosted ICONS video on the life and death of the V10 automobile engine. It was purchased for the project, knowing it would likely need engine work before being offered for sale. After filming and to address it properly, in October 2026, the original V10 was replaced with a new Stage 2 crate engine from Prefix Corporation, a leading name in Viper V10s. The installation was performed by Viper specialist 408 Garage in San Jose, California. All told, over $28,000 was spent, and roughly 250 miles have been added since. Additionally, four new Michelin tires were installed after filming ~200 miles ago.
This rare 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 SRT-10 is now represented at no reserve by a Broad Arrow Specialist with a clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report, receipts for the engine replacement, and a clean Nevada title.
