Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The 2004 Chevrolet SSR (Super Sport Roadster) is a distinctive fusion of retro styling and modern engineering. Produced from 2003 to 2006, the SSR was Chevrolet’s bold attempt to capture the spirit of its late-1940s “Advance Design” trucks, particularly the 1947–1955 models, while delivering contemporary performance and comfort.
Every SSR was hand-assembled at the Lansing Craft Center in Michigan, a facility known for building specialty and low-volume vehicles with meticulous attention to detail. Built on the GM GMT368 platform, the SSR featured a power-operated retractable hardtop that transformed the truck from a closed coupe to an open convertible in just 25 seconds — a first for a pickup.
Under the hood, the 2004 model carried a Vortec 5.3-liter V8 engine producing 300 horsepower and 335 lb-ft of torque, paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. This combination delivered a 0–60 mph time of about 7.5 seconds. Inside, the SSR offered leather bucket seats, a six-way power driver seat, and a two-way power passenger seat.
This Slingshot Yellow 2004 Chevrolet SSR offered from the Burnyzz January Collection is impressively preserved, showing under 1,900 miles from new. It was delivered to GMC dealer Harry’s On The Hill in Asheville, North Carolina, and was added to the dealer’s personal collection. This 2004 Chevrolet SSR never been registered and is offered still on the dealer MSO by the selling dealer — the buyer will become the first registered owner on record!
