Introduced for the 2003 model year, the Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 50th Anniversary Edition commemorated five decades of America's sports car, which debuted in 1953.  

Based on the fifth-generation (C5) Corvette, the Anniversary Edition featured exclusive Anniversary Red Metallic paint, special badging, shale-colored interior appointments, and a revised suspension package with Magnetic Selective Ride Control. Power came from Chevrolet's 5.7-liter LS1 V8, producing 350 horsepower. 

The Convertible combined the C5's impressive performance with open-air touring capability. Contributing to its reputation were independent suspension at all four corners, four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, and lightweight composite body construction.  

Additional highlights on this example include a four-speed automatic transmission, Champagne-painted five-spoke cast aluminum wheels, Shale leather sport bucket seats with embroidered Corvette anniversary logos on the headrests, a Bose audio system with AM/FM/CD head unit, and power windows, door locks, mirrors, and seats. 

Registered in Michigan and Illinois, the car was acquired by its Michigan owner in June 2021.
