2003 Jaguar S-Type R 4.2

Description

Introduced in 2002 as a rival to the BMW M5 and Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG, the Jaguar S-Type R was based on the retro-styled S-Type platform infused with serious performance upgrades. At its heart was a supercharged 4.2-liter V8 engine producing 400 horsepower and 408 lb-ft of torque, mated to a ZF six-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive.

Jaguar equipped the R with sport-tuned suspension, upgraded brakes, and unique styling cues, including a mesh grille, subtle body kit, and “R” badging. Inside, it featured leather sport seats, wood veneer trim, and a driver-focused layout. The S-Type R offered a compelling blend of British elegance and raw power, making it a sleeper hit among enthusiasts.

This 2003 Type-S R is finished in Quartz over Dove Gray leather upholstery. The supercharged 4.2-liter V8 breathes through a Mina Gallery intake tube and aftermarket mufflers. The interior features a factory CD stereo and navigation system linked to a touchscreen display and Alpine sound system.
