Description
“The ultimate Grand Tourer” declared Road & Track magazine. The 2002 Aston Martin V12 Vanquish marked a key moment in the brand’s modern renaissance, debuting as the company’s flagship grand tourer and technological showcase. Revealed at the 2001 Geneva Motor Show and entering production for the 2002 model year, the V12 Vanquish was the first major Aston Martin developed under Ford’s ownership to combine traditional craftsmanship with advanced engineering. Its design, penned by Ian Callum and inspired by the DB4 GT Zagato, projected a commanding presence on the road, blending aggressive styling with luxury and sophistication.
The Vanquish introduced a new bonded aluminum chassis structure reinforced with carbon‑fiber components. Power came from a hand‑built 5.9‑liter V12 producing 460 horsepower, paired with a then‑cutting‑edge electrohydraulic automated manual transmission. Performance figures—including a 0–60 mph time under five seconds—positioned it firmly among the world’s top grand tourers.
Built at the historic Newport Pagnell works, the Vanquish served as the final model fully assembled at the facility, linking Aston Martin’s coach built past with its modern era. Its pop‑culture legacy was cemented with a starring role in the 2002 James Bond film Die Another Day. Just 1,492 examples were crafted between 2001–2007.
Showing only 29,400 miles, this 2002 V12 Vanquish is finished in dark blue over a Cream Truffle cabin and is said to remain unmodified throughout. It is now offered by a Broad Arrow Specialist with a clean CARFAX history report, Aston Martin battery tender, and a clean Mississippi title in the current owner's name.
