Description
The 2002 Mercedes‑Benz S‑Class Pullman represented the pinnacle of factory‑built Mercedes-Benz limousines, designed for heads of state, royalty, and high‑level diplomatic transport. Derived from the W220 S‑Class platform, the Pullman variant was stretched and hand‑crafted to serve as a chauffeur‑driven executive vehicle.
Mercedes lengthened the standard long‑wheelbase S‑Class by approximately 1 meter (39.4”), bringing the vehicle to an imposing 6.16 meters (20.2’) in overall length. This dramatic extension—inserted between the front and rear doors—creates a distinct limousine silhouette with expanded cabin space and a raised roofline for enhanced rear‑seat comfort. Powered by a 5.0L V8 mated to a five-speed automatic transmission, the S500 Pullman balanced smooth performance with the refined ride quality provided by Mercedes’ Airmatic air suspension system.
This example was imported to the U.S. in February 2002 and is finished in Obsidian Black Metallic, while the interior is upholstered in Anthracite Nappa leather and adorned with burl walnut wood trim. Additional rear-cabin amenities include a vis‑à‑vis seating configuration with heating, ventilation, and power-adjustment, as well as a Mercedes-branded Nokia car phone, power-operated glass partition and blinds, fold-out worktables, and a stowable multimedia screens linked to a DVD player and TV tuner.
This 2002 Mercedes-Benz S500 Pullman has 37,400 miles and is now offered by the selling dealer in Florida with a clean CARFAX vehicle history report and Montana title.
