The 2001 Chevrolet Corvette represented the fifth year of the revolutionary C5, a generation that elevated both performance and refinement for America’s sports car. Available as a Coupe, a Fixed-Roof Coupe, and a Convertible, the 2001 Corvette's LS1 V8 was further enhanced by a new camshaft, intake manifold, and exhaust manifolds, bumping horsepower to 350, and torque in automatic-equipped cars to 360 pound-feet of twist. When given the full beans, auto-equipped Corvettes could hit 60 mph in 5 seconds flat, and run the quarter mile in the mid-13s.
