Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Introduced for the 1997 model year, Boxster helped Porsche redefine the mid-engine formula of exceptionally balanced handling. With its communicative steering, free‑revving 2.7‑liter flat‑six producing 217 hp, and five‑speed manual transmission, the 986‑generation Boxster remains one of the most rewarding and accessible ways to experience Porsche’s driver‑focused engineering.
Finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a Metropol Blue interior with a matching blue convertible top, this 2000 Porsche Boxster is equipped with heated seats traction control, and an automatic limited-slip differential.
Sold new in Canada, the car was promptly imported to the U.S., where it spent nearly two decades in North Carolina before being acquired by the seller. In addition to fitting Bilstein H6 suspension components, Continental ExtremeContact tires tires, and a Pioneer touchscreen audio system, the seller serviced the brakes, replaced the axles, and had Palo Alto Speedometer install a certified U.S.-market mile-per-hour instrument cluster. The car retains unique Canadian‑market factory equipment such as the rear speaker bar and the onboard computer “fourth stalk.”
Now showing just over 85,000 miles, this 2000 Porsche Boxster 5-speed is now offered at no reserve in Florida with recent service documentation, an uninstalled metric speedometer, boot cover, and a clean New York title in the seller’s name.

November 2022: POTENTIAL ODOMETER ROLLBACK
From the seller: “The odometer is accurate. The miles-per-hour cluster was swapped in from Palo Alto Speedometer after being calibrated from kilometers to miles. I purchased a used Speedometer that was in miles and swapped out the Canadian Dash which was in KM. I still have the Canadian cluster, as well. Palo Alto Speedometer certified the mileage is correct.”
The hood was repainted, reportedly to address stone chips
Paint imperfections/stone chips on the front fascia
Cosmetic wear consistent with age and mileage
Ownership History
From the seller: “I’ve owned this Boxster for four years and have driven it between New York and Florida, multiple times without a single issue—it has been completely reliable and a joy to drive. I’m the fourth owner, and the car has never been in an accident. Everything works as it should, including the convertible top. It runs flawlessly, and I’ve kept up with all necessary maintenance. It’s a wonderful example of an early Boxster.
The car was originally delivered to Toronto, Canada and had a "metric" dash when I purchased it. I separately purchased a US dash while the car was in for service (shocks and tires and a new coolant tank) and the shop (Rennwerke Porsche of Elmsford, NY) sent the old and new dash to Palo Alto Speedometer in California to be calibrated to US miles from Canadian KM. I received a certificate that the mileage was correct in the conversion from KM to Miles which the shop has in their files. I still have the original Canadian dash. I have virtually every service record.”
