Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The 2000 Dodge Dakota R/T Sport holds a special place in the history of American performance trucks. Introduced as a high-performance variant of the midsize Dakota, the R/T was equipped with a potent 5.9-liter Magnum V8 engine producing 250 horsepower and 345 lb-ft of torque. This engine, paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, gave the R/T impressive acceleration and towing capabilities for its class.
Available in both regular and extended cab configurations, the R/T featured a lowered suspension, performance-tuned components, and a limited-slip differential, enhancing its handling and street performance. It also stood out visually with unique 17-inch alloy wheels, monochromatic paint schemes, and bold R/T badging.
The Dakota R/T was part of a brief but memorable era when automakers experimented with muscle truck concepts. Though production ended in the early 2000s, the Dakota R/T has since gained a cult following among collectors and performance truck fans, appreciated for its raw power, distinctive styling, and role in bridging the gap between muscle cars and pickups. And this low mile “Killer Bee” built by Performance West in Vista, California, had been enhanced with a Kenne Bell supercharger kit and other upgrades.
