Description
The 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS marked the final year of the B-body performance sedan, and it helped close a chapter for the bowtie brand's four-door performance era. Based on the Caprice, the Impala SS featured a rear-wheel-drive chassis, sport-tuned suspension, limited-slip differential, and four-wheel disc brakes. Power came from the LT1 5.7-liter V8, rated at 260 horsepower and 330 lb.-ft of torque, paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Chevrolet produced 41,941 units for 1996, offered in black, Dark Cherry Metallic, and Dark Green-Gray Metallic.
Originally delivered to Mark Chevrolet of Wayne, Michigan, this '96 Impala SS has been in the same family since new. It's finished in Dark Cherry Metallic paint paired with gray leather upholstery featuring “SS” embroidered headrests and power-adjustable bucket front seats. Factory equipment includes a 1996-only analog instrument cluster and center console floor shifter, unique badging and rear spoiler, dual exhaust, and optional Preferred Equipment Package.
Now showing approximately 25,300 miles, this 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS is now offered with a clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report and a clean Michigan title in the current owner’s name.
