When the C4 Corvette debuted in 1984, it marked a bold departure from the C3. Featuring an all-new chassis and a sleeker, more modern — yet still evolutionary — design, the C4 was truly on the cutting edge.
By 1995, the Corvette had been visually and mechanically optimized. The torquey LT1 V8 put out 300 horsepower, which flowed through a six-speed manual or four-speed auto transmission. A fully independent suspension, Acceleration Slip Regulation, and disc brakes with ABS kept the driver firmly in control. And 17-inch wheels wrapped in sticky rubber helped enhance the Corvette’s looks and its performance, as Car and Driver discovered. “The ’95 Corvette LT1 ran to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds and through the quarter-mile in 13.7 seconds at 103 mph.”
Occupants could enjoy that performance in a quiet, well-appointed cabin. It featured bolstered leather seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, along with an analog/digital instrument cluster that flowed into the center console. Air conditioning and power accessories came standard, as did a targa-style removable roof panel for open-air driving.
This 1995 Corvette is finished in Torch Red with a Black interior, wears ZR-1-style wheels, and recently had the hood and top repainted.
