Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The 1992 Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.6 was a refined and powerful variant of the W201 series, a compact executive sedan that helped redefine Mercedes-Benz’s image in the 1980s and early 1990s. Introduced in 1986 and continuing through 1993, the 190E 2.6 featured a smooth and robust 2.6-liter inline-six (M103), producing around 158 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. This engine gave the car a more spirited performance compared to its four-cylinder siblings, while maintaining the brand’s hallmark refinement and durability.
The 190E 2.6 was praised for its balanced chassis, rear-wheel-drive layout, and sophisticated multi-link rear suspension, which contributed to its excellent handling and ride comfort. Though overshadowed by the legendary 190E 2.3-16 and 2.5-16 Cosworth models in motorsport circles, the 2.6 offered understated performance and luxury.
This 1992 190E 2.6 is finished in Smoke Silver Metallic with Cream Beige upholstery and optioned with a sunroof. The 15-inch Gullideckel alloy wheels are stopped by four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, and the cabin is equipped with a cassette stereo and power-adjustable front seats.
